Fabric tags are a great way to get your items to really stand out! The added texture is an element of surprise and since you can print your logo on them, it helps with brand recognition.

Stick a piece of adhesive backed paper (I used Fasson Crack ‘n Peel but there are many varieties available such as Avery Sticker Project Paper) onto a piece of white cotton fabric. Another option would be to use a spray adhesive to get the fabric to stick to the paper, you just need something to stabilize the fabric so that it can go through the printer.
**update…I always forget about this option but a friend reminded me today that you can iron your piece of fabric onto a piece of freezer paper (freezer paper stenciling) to stabilize it!!

Trim the fabric to the same size as the adhesive backed paper (Crack ‘n Peel for me) and insert into printer.
Fill a page in Microsoft Word with your desired image or logo.
(Page Layout…Margins…Narrow, Page Layout…Columns…3, Insert…Picture…select your image)

Print the tags out onto the fabric covered Crack n’ Peel. I didn’t use any special setting but just printed it as if I was printing onto paper.

Since these are merchandise tags, there is no reason to heat set. Just peel the fabric off of the paper. The adhesive is sticky enough to hold the fabric on through the printer but the fabric will easily peel off when you are done.
A hole punch easily leaves a hole in thin fabric so you can loop some string through or just use a safety pin.

If you want to add a price or description to the tag, write or print the information onto an address label or other adhesive backed paper and stick to the back of the tag.

These look great! I don’t know what Crack N Peel is, though–is it like Wonder Under?
Sorry for the confusion! I edited the post to be more specific. Crack N Peel is adhesive backed paper like FULL sheets for address label paper. Just go to Amazon and search for adhesive paper. Hope that clears things up and thanks so much for asking

Love this tutorial!! Super cute. It would definitely help brand recognition too – I always love getting cute custom tags or packaging in the mail with products I order!
