It could be clothing, hair accessories, organizing ideas, lunches, supplies etc. Shoot me an email if you are interested thegunnysack@aol.com!

Here are some bright, new school supplies…wonderful right? But how can your child tell their supplies from their classmates?

By decorating them, of course!!

I went to Walmart to get some Painters Markers from Elmers and some sequins to decorate the school supplies. I bought the Pearlescent Painters with a medium tip…have you ever used Painters? I have used them for years, have 3 different packages and have used them on many different mediums.

To use the Elmer’s Painters, with the cap still on, shake the marker. Then, remove the cap. There will no color on the tip. Depress the marker point by holding it down on a surface and the paint will flow into the tip.

For the pencil case, I drew an initial, stripes and a star with the blue and green Painters. Sometimes the paint will not cover a shiny surface the first time.

So, after the paint dries, go back over it again with more paint. The second coat of paint will stick to the first coat!

To decorate the folder and notebook, I printed a large letter “M” in Microsoft Word and cut it out.

I put the letter on the folder and traced around it.

After I removed the letter, I added some more paint to the letter and added the word MATH.
Then, I did the same thing to the notebook.

Next, I started on the pencils. It seems like my kids pencils are always disappearing so making them recognizable is important!! Using the blue Painters marker, I drew a zig zag pattern on one of the pencils.
On the second pencil, I drew blue, green and white polka dots. I stuck sequins around the eraser end.

The pencils turned out super cute!!

For the glue sticks, I removed the Elmer’s label. There were traces of adhesive left so I used some Goo Gone to get it off.
I put blue and green polka dots with more sequins on one of the glue sticks and barber strips around the other.
