{Tutorial Tuesday} Tiered Tee

I saw a tiered tee shirt when I was shopping recently but was too cheap decided to try to make my own!
So, I picked up 2 t-shirts on clearance at Target for $3.24 each.  The only sizes they had were medium and extra-large.
I seam ripped the sides, along the sleeve and across the shoulder of the medium.
I cut off the front of the extra-large and cut in into uneven strips.  I cut off the binding on the “V”.

**LAST MINUTE EDIT:  I am wearing this shirt right now and realize that I should have made the first cut lower down because where it hits right now it keeps wanting to curl up!

Pin the strips from the extra-large onto the medium t-shirt front and sewing across the strips, along the shoulders and around the “V”.
Here is a closer picture of the sewn strips.
Then, I laid the shirt down and cut off the excess from the extra large strips and sewed the sleeves back on and down the sides, making sure to get the strips into the side seams.  I also removed the twill tape pieces from the arms.
