clipix ~ Organizing Online Favorites

Have you ever tried to plan a vacation with your girlfriends?  I’ve been on several girlfriend getaways but we have yet to travel by plane to a warm, sunny beach.  I recently found a new site called clipix that will help make our vacation planning much easier.

Here is a video to explain how it works:

First, I went to clipix and made an account.  Right after creating the account, I received an option to drag a Clip button to my bookmark toolbar.

Then, all I have to do is find a vacation idea I love, such as this beach front hotel room and click the Clip button on my toolbar.  A clipix box pops up where I can enter a description and choose the clipboard that I want to add it to.

All of the clips are added to my Vacation ideas clipboard.  There is a lock symbol that I can click on to make the clipboard public or private.

Now, it isn’t any fun to plan a girlfriends getaway by myself!  So, I can share my clipboard as a syncboard with my girlfriends by clicking on the symbol in the upper right corner.  A box popped up where I could enter my friend’s names and email addresses.  Now, as my girlfriends are moving around the web, they can add vacation ideas to our clipboard.

There are so many great ways to use clipix!  I want to make a clipboard for recipes I find online as well as fun crafty ideas!  I can make as many clipboards as I want and rearrange them however I want.  My clips can be shared on Facebook and Twitter.  There is even an iPhone app!
