Some friends came over last weekend and I wanted to make a treat for the kids. So I rummaged through my cupboard to see what to make. I came up with these Easter Egg Treats. They turned out great and were tasty too!
- 3 Tablespoons butter
- 4 Cups mini marshmallows
- 5 1/2 Cups fruity crispy rice
Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a large glass bowl in the microwave. Add 4 cups of mini marshmallows and stir to coat. Microwave for 2 minutes. Stir until smooth.
Add 5 1/2 cups fruity crispy rice and stir until coated. Grease a 9×13 inch pan with butter. Dump the fruity crispy rice into the pan.
Put your hand into a baggie and scoop up some butter. This will keep the treats from sticking to your hand. Gently press the fruity crispy rice into the pan.
Allow the treats to cool. Using an egg shaped cookie cutter (or in my case a biscuit cutter squeezed into an oval) cut the treats into egg shapes. Use hand to even out the egg shapes.
Decorate the egg treats with icing, if desired. I just mixed up some butter, powdered sugar and milk until smooth. I didn’t measure the amounts. Then, I snipped the corner off of a baggie, put the icing into it and decorated the eggs. Cute and yummy!
