Happy New Year! I wanted to start 2015 off by looking back over YOUR favorite recipes from the past year. These are the recipes that received the most traffic, the most shares and the most love. There is everything from main dishes to desserts and slow cooker recipes to easy appetizers. Here are the 20 most popular recipes from 2014.
Not only do I love blogging about food, I also love talking about food. While chatting with a friend about some of our favorite dinners to make, she told me that she loves pork tenderloin on the grill and I’ve made it many times since then. This garlic rosemary pork tenderloin is one of our favorites.
Ice cream cakes don’t get much easier than this one! With only four ingredients, this fruity pebble crunch ice cream cake is a fun addition to any celebration.
I think that 2014 should be called the year of the BACON! Wait…actually, I think that every year should be called that. These sweet and spicy bacon wrapped meatballs are one of several delicious bacon recipes that I posted during 2014.
This recipe for bacon cheeseburger pizza balls is from January of 2013 and it continues to be very popular. They can be made as a party appetizer or served as a fun dinner. So…about that bacon?
During 2014 I wore out one Crock Pot and returned to using my vintage green one, but never fear, Christine bought me a new one for Christmas. Hopefully it will make an appearance in the near future! I enjoyed making dessert in my Crock Pot and since this slow cooker pumpkin pecan bread pudding made it to the top 20 list, many of you must agree.
2014 was also the year of the cookie cups! I shared several cookie cup recipes and a couple of them are on this list. These flow pot cookies with Oreo “dirt” make me long for some beautiful spring weather.
These candy bar pretzel bites are from Christmas 2013 but they really became popular during this holiday season and for good reason. They are easy to make, delicious to eat and oh-so-cute!
This mac n’ cheese pizza continues to be one of my family’s favorite pizzas! This is comfort food at its best.
12) S’more Pie Pops
S’more pie pops from April 2013 still receive a lot of attention as well as some lively discussion regarding the lack of graham crackers in the recipe.
These peppermint patties are another recipe from the 2013 Christmas season that made a reappearance this past Christmas. When I made them a couple of weeks ago, my kids told me that they are WAY better than the store bought peppermint patties!
We are half way through the list and in comes a recipe from September of 2012! I made these baked mozzarella cheese sticks for our New Year’s Eve celebration this year.
And for number nine, we have another bacon recipe. These sweet and spicy sriracha bacon chicken bites are one appetizer that everyone loves!
Here’s another recipe from 2012. Every year around Halloween, this recipe for roasted pumpkin seeds starts getting traffic. My kids love pumpkin seeds and they always make sure so save the seeds when carving pumpkins.
With the frigid weather we’ve all been having, I think everyone needs a large, steaming bowl of this delicious slow cooker chicken pot pie soup! I was inspired to make this soup after being disappointed in a restaurant version we tried.
These bloomin’ baked potatoes with cheese and BACON are an epic way to enjoy potatoes!
Baked spaghetti loaves are easy to make and they look really great when served with spaghetti sauce and meatballs.
After years of buying sesame chicken from restaurants, I finally made a slow cooker version that is easy to make and tastes better than what you can buy. We’ve had this recipe several times since I shared it and we still love it.
The very first recipe I posted on The Gunny Sack back in March of 2011, continues to be one of my most popular. These easy pepperoni rolls are still a family favorite and appear often at family celebrations.
I’m still in love with these hot chocolate cookie cups and I was so happy to hear that many of you had fun with them this Christmas! I even learned that one of my readers placed a special order with a bakery for these hot chocolate cookie cups.
And of course, it comes as no surprise that my Bloomin’ Baked Apples came in as number one. The amount of support, traffic and attention this post received still blows me away. It made for one epic year and it makes me excited to see what 2015 will bring.
