This Chocolate Chip Cookie Delight mason jar dessert involves 5 layers of gooey goodness sponsored by Collective Bias! It is a Hot For Cookie Copycat Recipe.

Hot For Cookie RecipeWhile I was on my girlfriends getaway a couple of weekends ago, we had a to-die-for dessert from the little ice cream shop across from our hotel. I have thought about the dessert many times since then and decided to try to recreate it using TCBY Frozen Yogurt! It involved 5 layers of gooey goodness! There is crunchy and creamy as well as hot and cold all in this one mason jar creation!

I love that TCBY Frozen Yogurt is available at the store! I went to shopping with Zack and picked up the ingredients. There were 6 different flavors in the pint size: Supreme Cookies & Cream, Strawberry Swirl, Chocolate Chunk Cookie Dough, Mint Chocolate Chunk, Tropical Mango Peach and Chocolate Chocolate. In the quart size there were 5 flavors: Supreme Cookies & Cream, English Toffee Crunch, Strawberry Swirl and Classic Vanilla Bean. We decided that the Chocolate Chunk Cookie Dough would be the obvious choice for this dessert!

Here are the items we bought. You can see our entire shopping trip in my Google+ Album. I love that the TCBY Chocolate Chunk Cookie Dough Frozen Yogurt has only 130 calories per serving and it contain 7 types of probiotics!!

First, I made the chocolate chip cookie dough using the classic Betty Crocker recipe that I’ve been using since I was a kid. I made some of the dough into cookies and I made some of it into dough balls that I will store in my freezer.

The cookies were a little too big to fit in the jars. So, using a clean mason jar like a cookie cutter, I cut the fresh cookies so that they would fit in the jars.

I put a cookie into each of the cleaned and dried jars.

Then, I put a cookie dough ball onto the cookie and flattened it out a bit.

I put the mason jar in the microwave for 25 second to heat but not fully cook the cookie dough.

Then I took out the smooth, creamy TCBY Chocolate Cookie Dough Frozen Yogurt.

I put a large scoop of the frozen yogurt on top of the hot cookie dough. It immediately started melting…yum!

Next, I topped the frozen yogurt with homemade whipped cream.

I sprinkled mini chocolate chips on top of the whipped cream.

Yes, these really were as good as they look and while commenting on some blogs today I noticed that Jamielyn from I Heart Naptime thinks so too because she recently made her own variation! These Chocolate Chip Cookie Delights need to be eaten right away and Vanessa had two friends over so the three girls each ate one and I had the fourth one (not pictured). Now, when the craving hits, I can grab a chocolate chip cookie from the freezer, a chocolate chip cookie dough ball from the freezer and one of the cartons of frozen yogurt and make myself a treat! That is if my kids don’t eat all of the TCBY Chocolate Chunk Cookie Dough first!

Is 25 seconds in the microwave enough to kill salmonella in the raw cookie dough?
