Snow Cone Truffles are an awesomesummer party recipe. These bite sized snow cones are fun to make and fun to eat! The mini cones are easy to make using freezer paper.
I’ve got snow cones on the mind! It must be the hot, humid weather! Last week I shared snow cone sugar scrub and now I’ve Snow Cone Truffles to share with you.
Snow Cone Truffles are by melted together frosting and white chocolate chips The truffle mixture is piped into mini snow cones and sprinkles make the tops shimmer like shaved ice.
How To Make Snow Cone Truffles
Step One:
Make mini snow cones by cutting out half circles of freezer paper. Roll the half circles into a cone shape and tape the edge shut with a piece of tape.
Step Two:
For each color of the truffles will need 1/2 cup of frosting and 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips. First, tint the frosting whatever color you want it to be. I used gel paste for a more intense color.
Step Three:
Melt the white chocolate chips for one color in the microwave and then stir in the frosting. Do this for each of the colors.
Step Four:
Put each color into a separate pastry bag. Slide all three bags into a larger pastry bag. To make this step easier, you can tape the three filled bags together if you want. Then, cut the tips off all 4 of the pastry bags.
Step Five:
Put a mini marshmallow into the bottom of each cone to prevent the filling from going through the hole in the point of the cone.
Step Six:
Fill mini snow cone cups with all three colors at once.
To hold the mini snow cones in place while filling them, I covered a 9×13″ pan with foil and poked holes in the foil to hold the cones.
Step Seven:
After filling all of the snow cones, put sprinkles in a line on a plate in the same pattern as the colors of the truffles (green in the middle).
Dip the tops of the truffles in the sprinkles. Refill the plate with sprinkles as needed.
I put the truffles back into the foil holder to allow them to harden.
The Snow Cone Truffles turned out so cute and when I shared them with my nieces and nephews, everyone loved them! They would be so fun to serve at a summer party!
