Spring has arrived and so has TCBY frozen yogurt at the grocery store! These 2 things were the perfect reason to celebrate! We’ve been getting together with some friends and family to have a sport night. Each week we do a different sport together. So far we’ve played outdoor hockey, gone swimming twice, played basketball and gone indoor skating. This week we had a TCBY Frozen Yogurt Social and the kids played yard games like four corners, 500 and frisbee.
I went shopping at Walmart for the TCBY frozen yogurt, toppings and the party supplies.
I purchased every flavor they sold at this location:
Chocolate Chocolate, Tropical Mango Peach, Chocolate Chunk Cookie Dough and Mint Chocolate Chunk
1.5 Quart Size:
Classic Vanilla Bean, Supreme Cookie & Cream, Strawberry Swirl and English Toffee Crunch
Strawberry Swirl Bars, Chocolate Fudge Bars, Orange Vanilla Bars and Classic Vanilla Sandwiches
And of course I bought a bunch of toppings and some cute waffle bowls and ice cream cones.
The brightly colored soda was a big hit with the kids, as were the cookies for making cookie sandwiches!
There were little samples of the flavors with mini spoons so that everyone could try the different varieties.
Then, everyone picked the frozen yogurt of their choice adding toppings and whipped cream. Some chose to use the waffle bowls.
Some made frozen yogurt cookie sandwiches.
One of the guys remarked, “So, all of those are FROZEN YOGURT?? Wow!”
We checked out the nutritional facts, well…the adults did…the kids didn’t care, and noticed that 1/2 cup has about 130 calories per serving with 17 grams of sugar.
Plus, we noticed that they have 7 types of probiotics in them! That is really cool! The frozen yogurt was super creamy and smooth, just like I remember it being when I used to go to TCBY as a kid.
The evening was a huge success and everyone was so excited! The kids knew about the TCBY Frozen Yogurt Social and have been asking and asking when it was going to finally arrive! The frozen yogurt definitely held up to everyone’s expectations and most of the guests came back for seconds or thirds.
My kids are going to be asking me to pick more up every time we stop at Walmart…especially this summer!
