Memorial Day is next Monday and it is time to pull out the red, white and blue! With Flag Day coming a couple of weeks later on June 14th, the decorations can stay up for awhile!
Start with an 8 1/2 by 10 inch piece of paper.
Fold it in half so that you have an 8 1/2 by 5 inch piece with the fold at the top. Make 2 light center creases by folding the paper in half lenghtwise and widthwise.
Fold upper left corner from the top center down to the center crease line and make a crease.
Fold line AB over to meet line AC and make a crease.
Fold point C over line AB and make a crease.
(note AB is different in this photo than the AB in the previous one)
Fold line AC to meet line AB and make a crease.
Make a small mark line 1 1/2 inches from point A. Cut from point C to the mark line.
Unfold the upper part from the cut and discard the bottom part. A few of the star’s creases need to be folded the opposite way from what they are. The creases on the long points need to be peaks and the creases on the short indents need to be valleys.
After you make the first one and realize how easy it is, make a bunch more…
