As I was saying yesterday, I have 3 sales coming up with the first one this coming weekend. So, what I really need to be doing is working on items to sell! One of those items is this Lace Wipes Case.
I bought this cute, vintage lace from a thrift store and the white fabric is thick, sort of like fleece.
I traced around the case on a piece of paper and then added about 1/4 inch all the way around.
I cut out a piece of fabric on the fold so that it can wrap around the wipes case.
Hot glue the fabric onto the wipes case. If there was extra fabric, I cut it off and if there wasn’t quite enough, I gently stretched it to reach.
Then, I cut the lace using the same pattern. Since my lace wasn’t wide enough I couldn’t cut on the fold so I cut 2 pieces instead. Hot glue the lace on top of the white fabric.
The unfinished edges need to be covered, so I hot glued white ribbon over the edges and across the back where the 2 pieces of lace met.
It is ready to go! When covering the wipes case with a piece of fabric instead of lace, put a piece of stuffing beneath the fabric.
Thanks for stopping by…I’m off to make a few more of these!
