Mix the ingredients until combined and slightly foamy.

Lay a slice of texas toast in the egg mixture and allow it to sit in the mixture for several seconds so that it can soak up some of the liquid.

Then, flip the slice of bread over so that the second side can soak up the egg mixture as well.

Grease the griddle or skillet with butter and then transfer the coated slice of bread from the bowl to the hot griddle.

Continue coating the remaining slices of bread with the egg mixture and placing them on the griddle.

What Toppings go on French Toast?

For this French toast recipe, we went with the classic butter, maple syrup, and powdered sugar.  We also love peanut butter on our French toast.  Other toppings include caramel syrup, chocolate sauce, Nutella, whipped cream, sliced strawberries, and sliced bananas.
