Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon grated lemon peel optional

Instructions

  • While the bread pudding is cooking, make a lemon sauce.
  • Mix together water and cornstarch in saucepan.
  • Stir in sugar and cook over medium heat until thickened.
  • Mix in butter, fresh lemon juice and grated lemon peel.
