Homemade Bisquick

This Homemade Bisquick recipe is easy to make and can be used as a Bisquick substitute. Make biscuits, pizza crust, pancakes, and cobbler!

Instructions

  • Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Cut in the shortening until crumbly.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator or freezer for up to three months.

One: Pancakes

2 cups bisquick, 1 cup milk, and 2 eggs. (Or use our melt-in-your-mouth Pancakes recipe with Bisquick here.)

Two: Waffles

2 cups bisquick, 1 1/3 cups milk, 2 tablespoons oil, and 1 egg. (Or follow our recipe for the BEST waffles with bisquick here.)

Three: Drop Biscuits

2 1/4 cups bisquick and 2/3 cup milk. Drop spoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 450˚F for 8-10 minutes. (Or make our Bisquick Biscuits with Buttermilk recipe here.)
