Glace Icing is simply made with powdered sugar, half-n-half, corn syrup, and vanilla. It can be poured over cakes or used to decorate cookies.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoon half-n-half
  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon clear vanilla flavoring
  • food coloring optional

Instructions

  • Put the powdered sugar, half-n-half, light corn syrup, and clear vanilla flavoring in a bowl and stir until smooth.
  • Use food coloring to tint icing as desired.
  • Can be used as an icing or as a glaze.
  • Store any leftover icing in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Storage:

To store glace icing in the refrigerator, transfer it to an airtight container and seal it well. It should keep for up to a week. When you're ready to use it, let it come back up to room temp before using, and give it a good stir to bring it back to life. If the icing has thickened during storage, you can add a few drops of water to thin it out.
