Air Fryer French Fries

These Air Fryer French Fries rival those from a restaurant! They are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil divided
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  • Scrub the potatoes (peel if desired) and cut them into sticks that are evenly thick. Place the potato sticks in a bowl and cover them with water. Refrigerate for at least one hour or up to 24 hours.

  • Remove from the refrigerator and dry well on paper towels.

  • Preheat the air fryer to 300˚F. Coat the potato sticks with one tablespoon of vegetable oil. Cook them in the air fryer at 300˚F for 10 minutes, shaking halfway through. Remove from the air fryer and spread out on a piece of parchment paper. Allow them to cool for 10 minutes.

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400˚F. Coat the french fries with the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Cook them in the air fryer at 400˚F for 8-12 minutes, or until they are as golden brown and crispy as you like them, shaking them once or twice.

  • Remove the basket from the air fryer and sprinkle with sea salt.
