Mix all of the nacho fry spices together and set aside.
Preheat the air fryer to 400˚F. Then air fry at 400˚F for 5 minutes, open the basket, spray the fries with olive oil spray, and sprinkle with 3 tablespoons of seasoning stirring to coat. Then, air fry for an additional 4-5 minutes until crispy. See Note 1 for Oven Baked Method and Note 2 for Deep Fryer Method.
If making oven-baked fries, follow the baking instructions on the package. When there are five minutes of cook time remaining, spray the fries with olive oil, sprinkle with three tablespoons of seasoning, and stir to coat. Return to the oven for the remaining cook time.
Note 2: Deep Fryer
When deep-frying the french fries, add 3 tablespoons of seasoning after removing them from the hot oil.
Note 3: Homemade Nacho Fries
You can make your own fries instead of using frozen french fries. Follow our recipe for homemade air fryer french fries. You'll need to soak the fries in water for at least one hour. Then par-bake the fries at 300˚F for 10 minutes, allow them to cool for 10 minutes, air fry them again at 400˚F for 8-12 minutes, and add 3 tablespoons of seasoning when you have 5 minutes of cooking time left.
Note 4: Loaded Nacho Fries
Prepare the nacho fries as directed above. Divide into serving dishes. Top with nacho cheese sauce, taco meat, diced tomatoes, and sliced green onions.*Nutritional Information is for the nacho fries only and does not include nacho cheese sauce or loaded nacho fries toppings.
