Green Bean Casserole

Green Bean Casserole is a popular side dish at every holiday meal! The beans are coated in a creamy sauce topped with French fried onions.

Ingredients

  • 2 10.5 oz can cream of celery soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 14.5 oz cans green beans
  • 1 ¾ cups French fried onions divided

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350˚F. In a large bowl, mix together the cream of celery soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  • Drain the cans of green beans and add them to the soup mixture along with 1 cup of the french fried onions. Gently stir to coat. Spread the mixture in a greased 2-quart casserole dish.
  • Bake at 350˚F for 30-35 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
  • Top with the remaining ¾ cup of french fried onions. Return to the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes.

Notes

One: Variations

  • Cheese: Try adding one cup of shredded cheddar, parmesan, or pepper jack cheese.
  • Veggies: Remove some of the beans and replace them with an equal amount of carrots, peppers, cauliflower, or broccoli.
  • Toppings: Try sprinkling the top with shredded cheese, crushed Ritz crackers, breadcrumbs, or stuffing.

Store covered in the fridge for 3-4 days.
