Ingredients

Instructions

  • Heat 3 tablespoons of oil over medium high heat in a 6 quart stockpot with a couple of kernels of popcorn in it, with the lid on. Once the popcorn pops, the oil is ready,
  • While the oil is heating, put the brown sugar, cinnamon and butter in the microwave for 30 seconds, stir and return to the microwave for another 30 seconds or until the butter is melted. Stir well.
  • Once the oil is ready, use heavy duty, elbow high oven mitts to carefully lift the lid and add 2/3 cup of popcorn kernels to the hot oil.
  • Gently shake the pot while the popcorn pops while allowing the steam to escape.
  • Once it is done popping, remove from heat and check to make sure the brown sugar cinnamon butter is still hot. If not, heat it for a few seconds in the microwave.
  • Drizzle half of the brown sugar cinnamon butter over the popcorn in the pot, sprinkle with salt and stir.
  • Pour the popcorn into a large bowl and drizzle the rest of the brown sugar cinnamon butter over the popcorn, sprinkle with salt and stir well.
