Honey Glazed Ham

Ingredients

  • 7 lb bone-in ham fully cooked

Honey Glaze Recipe

  • ¾ cup honey
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup orange juice concentrate
  • ½ teaspoon ground mustard
  • ¼ teaspoon chili powder
  • teaspoon ground cloves

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325˚F.
  • Score the ham and then place it on a rack in a roasting pan. Pour one cup of water into the bottom of the pan.
  • Mix together the honey, brown sugar, orange juice concentrate, ground mustard, chili powder, and ground cloves. Brush half of the mixture over the ham.
  • Tent the roasting pan with foil and bake the ham for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil, and brush the ham with half of the remaining glaze. Bake for 20 minutes.
  • Brush the ham with the remaining glaze and bake for an additional 20 minutes or until it reaches an internal temperature of 140˚F.
  • If you want the glaze more caramelized, you can put it in the broiler for 2-3 minutes or use a kitchen torch.

Notes

Allow leftover honey glazed ham to cool, and then store it in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or in the freezer for 3-4 months.
