Play Dough Recipe
These Earth Day Activities for Earth crayons and this homemade play dough recipe are fun to make with kids. Great way to reuse old crayons!
Servings: 2 cups
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup salt
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoon canola oil
- 2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- Food coloring
Instructions
- Mix flour, salt, water, canola oil and cream of tartar in a large saucepan.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until a ball of dough forms.
- Remove from heat and when the dough is cool enough to touch, knead until smooth.
- Divide the dough into the number of pieces needed for the desired colors.
- Add drops of food coloring to the dough and carefully knead until the color is uniform.
