Preheat the oven to 375˚F. Mix together flour, oats, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and nutmeg.
Add mashed bananas, egg, buttermilk, melted butter, vanilla and walnuts.
Fill greased or paper lined muffin cups 2/3 full.
Bake at 375˚F for 19-21 minutes.
