bag fresh cranberries
or use thawed frozen cranberries
1 ½

granulated sugar
divided

cup
water
Instructions
Put the water and ½ cup of granulated sugar in a large pot. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat.
Add the cranberries and stir to coat. Remove from heat.
Place the pot in a bowl of ice water. Chill the cranberries for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove the cranberries with a slotted spoon and place them on a wire rack over a parchment-lined rimmed baking sheet.
Allow the cranberries to dry for about 1 hour. Sprinkle with the cranberries with the remaining granulated sugar and stir to coat.

Store sugared cranberries in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-5 days.
