Put the barbecue sauce and Dr. Pepper in a bowl and stir to combine. Spread half of the sauce (3/4 cup) in the bottom of a greased or lined slow cooker.
In a small bowl, combine the paprika, coarse ground black pepper, kosher salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub the spice mixture onto both sides of the pork chops before adding them to the sauce in the slow cooker.
Top with the remaining sauce. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until tender.
