Once I got them home, I opened the packages and untied the gold ornament strings.
I looped the stings through alternating colored hearts and retied them.
And hung them in the windows…easy peasy and super cheap!! What else did I pick up at 90% off? I bought frosting, gift bags, Cherry Cordial Hershey’s Kisses and Disney Cars Pez Dispensers. I also found some sugar cookie mix for 50 cents/box and I used it and the frosting to make some cookies that I will show you tomorrow. I would like to use the Hershey’s Kisses to make a Valentine’s craft or some sort but they may get eaten before I get to it!
Do you ever buy clearance from one season to carry over to another?

I bought snowflakes like these at my Target. They are on my burlap wreath on our front door!

Wish I had seen these at my Target, but the idea is still a great one! Glad to find your blog, hope you can follow me back!

Love this …. I would have them hanging all year round, and in fact I had some of these exact hearts, but unfortunately they were ‘stolen ‘ along with 30 years of Christmas decorations 🙁

I am super jealous…those are perfect for Valentine’s decor. I wish I could get to Target more often. We live out of town so it’s a bit of a trek. I really like your content and I’m so glad I found you. (And thanks for the linkups and being sweet enough to stop by and leave comments!!!)

Absolutely! I bought my Xmas cards and gift tags for 2012 on New Years Day. I also picked up some gorgeous wooden tags to package up the baked treats I’ll be giving to family and friends. Gorgeous (and clever) craft idea. You’re a woman after my own heart :-)Di x

What a beautiful idea. I never usually decorate for V-Day but with ideas like that I could definitely afford to.

You’re the most savvy shopper I know Tonia. I want to go with you to your Target. I never see anything exciting at my store. A lot of things are on clearance here before the actual event, like weeks before Christmas even gets here so nothing much leftover and if it is it’s usually good for the trash. Love seeing what you find and then make intoAnne xx

I totally buy clearance and carry over. 90% off makes me very happy. Usually colours are not season specific and it seems like one holiday is barely over before the next one begins :-)Great project.
