We’ve had a few days of cool weather and it felt like autumn! But it’s supposed to get hot again, so I’m sharing another no bake recipe today because we need sweets and we don’t need the oven on. Today’s recipe came about by accident. When I made the Ooey Gooey S’mores Bars, I made too much of the Nutella base layer and wasn’t sure what to do with it. Since that crust is very similar to the recipes for no bake peanut butter cup bars, I thought, why not make No Bake Nutella Bars instead. But, before we get started on the recipe, I want to talk about bats!
Okay guys, have you ever had a bat in your HOUSE? Not just up in the attic but actually flying around your house? That’s what happened to me! It was about 8 pm and I was working on a blog post while Brian was mowing. Suddenly out of the corner of my eye, I saw something flying and at first I didn’t know if it was a bird or a bat. Unfortunately, it was a bat and it proceeded to fly ’round and ’round my house while I sat paralyzed on the couch. Luckily, Zack was in the house with me and when the bat took a flying break, I had him run outside to get Brian.
While they were both outside, my friend the bat decided to make a few more rounds and I started screaming for Brian while trying to hide under my laptop. Luckily Brian came in and saved the day. Zack made sure to tell me “Mom if you found a bat on your pillow like grandma did, you would have a mental breakdown.” And I had to agree with him!
Now, I KNOW bats are good and I know they don’t hurt people (although I know several people who’ve had to get rabies shots that would probably disagree) but that doesn’t change how I feel about them. They scare me and I don’t want them in my HOUSE! I feel the same way about the things swimming in the ocean, I’m totally cool with us coexisting, but I have no desire to actually come into contact with a fish, crab or other creature while I’m swimming.
So, my question to you is, what do we do now? This is a first and we don’t want it to happen again!
