Garlic Bread

This easy Garlic Bread recipe is a family favorite! Top with mozzarella for garlic cheese bread and serve with marinara sauce.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz loaf French or Italian bread
  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 heads roasted garlic or mince 3 cloves of fresh garlic
  • 2 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley
  • ¼ cup freshly grated parmesan
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425˚F. Slice the loaf of bread in half. Place on a foil-lined baking sheet. Cut the loaves in half if needed to make them fit on the pan.
  • If using roasted garlic, remove the cloves and mash them into a paste.
  • Put the softened butter, garlic (mashed or minced depending on what you chose to use), parmesan, and chopped parsley into a bowl and stir to combine.
  • Spread the garlic butter on the sliced bread.
  • Bake at 425˚F for 5 minutes for soft garlic bread or 10 minutes for crusty garlic bread.
  • Optional: Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Place under the broiler for 1-2 minutes until melted.

Store leftovers in an airtight container or ziptop bag in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or in the freezer for up to two months.
