Oreo pops are simply an Oreo on a stick that is dipped in candy melts. They are a fun party idea!

    Oreo Pops On A Stick

It’s already July! It feels like the summer is flying by and things aren’t going to be slowing down at all. My in-laws are camping on the North Shore so over the weekend, we drove up there to visit them. Instead of camping, we stayed at a hotel which was a good thing because it rained a lot the first night. I didn’t realize how much a needed a vacation until we were up there. The North Shore of Lake Superior is so beautiful and peaceful. I love walking along the rock with the lake on one side, pine trees on the other and the only sounds to be heard are from nature! Hopefully, you will have a chance to relax with your family this summer too!

Today I’m sharing my Oreo Pops recipe which isn’t really a recipe at all but more like assembly instructions. Although I made these Oreos on a stick for the ice cream social I hosted, I didn’t flavor them like I did the other treats. Instead, I made sure that the colors matched the party.

    Party Dessert Recipe

I started with these fun summer Oreos. For me, the more frosting in the Oreo the better but the blue color of the frosting in these Oreos almost beats the double stuffed Oreos. To make the Oreo Pops, gently press a lollipop stick into the frosting part of the Oreo. Then, dip it halfway into melted candy melts or melted chocolate. Let the excess drip off and set the Oreo Pops on a piece of waxed paper. Add a few sprinkles for additional color.

I find that using double stuffed Oreo’s is a lot better than the regular ones. This is great for a bake sale or any other occasion thx.

Hmmmm…I’m wondering if you sticks are thicker or if there isn’t as much Oreo filling in your cookies as there was in the ones I used. This post is from 2013 so Oreo might have made some changes since then. What I would suggest is that you carefully twist one of the Oreo wafers off of the frosting, press the stick into the frosting and then replace the wafer gently pressing it back into the frosting. If it won’t stick back together, melt some of the candy melts or some chocolate chips and put a dab on the frosting before replacing the wafer. Best of luck! ~Tonia
