This delicious iced coffee recipe for Cinnamon Streusel Coffee Cake Frappe has a streusel topping, homemade caramel coffee creamer and Dunkin’ Donuts Cinnamon Coffee Cake coffee.
Coffee is one of life’s little pleasures. It is something that makes me happy.every.single.day! I like my coffee plain or flavored, hot or cold, with half-n-half or with cream. I enjoy a cup alone in the morning, at coffee shops on the go and while sitting on the front porch chatting with my besties. Love coffee as much as I do? I’m excited to tell you about the Dunkin’ Donuts Bakery Series coffee that I used to make my Cinnamon Streusel Coffee Cake Frappe.
Dunkin’ Donuts has come out with a new series of flavored coffee called the Bakery Series. What a fantastic idea! There are 5 flavors: Jelly Donut, Old Fashioned Donut, Caramel Coffee Cake, Chocolate Glazed Donut and Blueberry Muffin. The new collection is made with 100% Arabica beans and coffee flavoring. We tried all of the flavors and they are delicious! It is hard to explain how coffee can taste like a donut, but I think it is the flavor of the coffee combined with a delightful aroma. My favorite flavors are Caramel Coffee Cake and Blueberry Muffin. Christine’s favorite flavors are Blueberry Muffin and Jelly Donut.
To go along with the all of the amazing coffee, we made some simple coffee creamer. We made caramel coffee creamer and vanilla bean coffee creamer. The mason jar in the photo above shows what was left of the caramel coffee creamer before making the Cinnamon Streusel Coffee Cake Frappe. I made the creamer based on a recipe from my friend Aimee at Shugary Sweets.
To make the caramel coffee creamer, put sweetened condensed milk, half and half, vanilla and caramel ice cream topping into a quart sized mason jar and stir. Put on the lid and shake well. Store in the fridge.
There is a little prep work that needs to be done before you can make the Cinnamon Streusel Coffee Cake Frappe. The first step is to make coffee ice cubes. Make half a pot of Dunkin Donuts Caramel Coffee Cake Bakery Series coffee using 4 heaping tablespoons of ground coffee. Put 1 cup of coffee in the fridge to cool. Use the remaining coffee to fill ice cube trays and put them in the freezer to harden.
While waiting for the coffee to freeze, make the cinnamon streusel topping. Mix together flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, butter, vanilla and cinnamon with a pastry blender. Spread the crumbles in a pan with sides on a silicone baking mat. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow the streusel to cool for 2-3 minutes. Use a fork to gently disturb the smooth streusel so that it clumps up. As the streusel continues to cool, periodically use the fork to stir and break apart the cinnamon streusel into crumbles.
To make the Cinnamon Streusel Coffee Cake Frappe, put coffee ice cubes, ice cubes, cooled coffee, caramel creamer (I used my homemade caramel coffee creamer) and cinnamon into the blender and mix until smooth.
Pour into glasses and top with whipped cream, drizzle with caramel ice cream topping and sprinkle with cinnamon streusel topping. The Cinnamon Streusel Coffee Cake Frappe was amazing! I let my kids and my niece and nephew try the frappe and they gave it 5+ stars.
