I posted my first pizza balls recipe on March 8, 2011. It was my very first recipe post ever and the fourth post on my blog. I had been making easy pepperoni rolls for my family and wanted to share them on my blog because they are an easy to make recipe that I felt others would enjoy. I say easy because you just take refrigerated Pillsbury biscuits and wrap them around the filling. Then, just pop them in the oven and dinner is ready!
The Easy Pepperoni Rolls blog post received a grand total of 3 comments in all of 2011. Then, in 2012 the pizza balls post it took off. To date it has had 606,294 pageviews with the biggest day being October 11, 2012 when, with my permission, Pillsbury shared my post on their Facebook page. It has been pinned (correctly) over 316,000 times! Unfortunately, success brings with it those hoping to capture a share of it for themselves. My photo has been taken from my site, the watermark has been removed and it has been posted with the full recipe on countless websites, blogs and forums. It has been uploaded and spread on Facebook, Pinterest and Tumblr. All of those incorrect shares are considered copyright infringement. So, please share responsibly! Let me know if you have any questions about how to do so.
