A Snowman Veggie Tray is a fun addition to any holiday celebration. Arrange your favorite fresh veggies in the shape of a snowman! Sponsored by Marzetti® Veggie Dips.
The holiday season should be called the eating season because we eat all the time! When getting together to sing Christmas carols, there are cookies and hot cocoa. Christmas with girlfriends includes lots of chocolate and other goodies. Holiday work parties are typically at a restaurant so you can eat, of course.
With all of these parties full of comfort food, appetizers, and goodies, it’s a holiday tradition to bring a tray of crisp, fresh, veggies to share. To make it even more fun I arranged the veggies into the shape of a snowman on the platter and added thick, creamy Marzetti® Ranch Veggie Dip to enhance the freshness and goodness of the veggies.
Start with a variety of fresh vegetables that are readily available in your area during the winter. I bought cucumbers, broccoli, snap peas, green bell peppers, grape tomatoes, and carrots. If you are pressed for time, look for the “ready-to-eat” veggies that have been cut and washed already.
Wash and trim all the veggies. Cut the cucumbers into slices, the carrots into sticks, the broccoli into florets, and the green bell pepper into strips.
Next find a large platter with enough space to make the snowman. Arrange the broccoli in a large circle at the bottom of the tray. Make a medium size circle out of the snap peas. Finally, arrange the green bell pepper strips into an even smaller circle.
Use the carrot sticks to make snowman arms and a hat. The grape tomatoes can be used to make the eyes, nose, and mouth. Place the cucumber slices in a row as buttons.
To make the veggies even better, add a container of Marzetti® Veggie Dip with a small serving spoon to the tray. I chose the Marzetti® Ranch Veggie Dip but there are so many additional choices available from spinach to French onion! Partygoers get tired of eating only appetizers and goodies. A tray of fresh crisp veggies and cool, creamy dip is a fun holiday tradition that everyone will enjoy eating.
