One of my favorite things to make on the grill is PIZZA! It is easy to make and tastes delicious!
Gather the toppings you want for your pizza. We keep it basic: pizza sauce, shredded cheese, pepperoni and Italian seasoning. You also need olive oil with garlic in it for brushing on the dough.
I often use frozen bread dough but have made my own at times. To prepare the frozen bread dough quickly, preheat the oven to 200ยฐF and then turn it OFF! Put a shallow pan of HOT water on the lower rack of the oven and put the frozen bread dough on a greased pan on the upper rack. It takes 45 min – 1 hr to thaw and raise slightly. Cut a slice off of the dough loaf and flatten into a circle.
Brush one side of the dough with the olive oil and garlic. Place directly on the grill grate with the temperature set on medium (lower if you want it to cook slower). I put the dough near the front of the grill where it was cooler. The dough will start to cook and puff up immediately. I put 4 dough circles on the grill at one time.
Brush the top with more olive oil and then flip over when bottom is cooked.
Add the toppings to the pizza crust and allow the cheese to melt and the bottom to cook. You can close the grill lid to help it melt.
Take the pizza off the grill and enjoy!! My kids hung around the grill and ate the pizza…standing in the driveway…anxiously awaiting the next piece!!
What is your favorite thing to grill? Do you cook anything on the grill other than meat and veggies?

I have grilled pizza a few times and I like it, but we have a grill that’s a little out of control right now, so pizza isn’t so easy to make on it. I always forget how fast it cooks and I usually burn it ๐
