Three ingredient Peppermint Oreo Fudge has white chocolate chips, peppermint frosting and peppermint Oreos. This Christmas dessert recipe is easy to make.
We lost our son in downtown Minneapolis this past weekend! It was a first for us and I sincerely hope it is our last. We took the light rail downtown with a large group of friends and we all went into Macy’s to visit the 8th floor auditorium Christmas display. It was busy, but not insanely crowded like it would’ve been later in the day. The little kids thought everything was super neat.
We stopped in the gift shop and then split up to head back down to the main floor. Some of the group went on the elevator with a baby stroller and some of the group went down the escalator. We made sure we knew where all of the little kids were but I didn’t even think about keeping track of the middle school and high school kids.
Once we met on the main floor, we found the skyway that connects the buildings in downtown Minneapolis. They are like enclosed bridges and the kids were all looking at the cars going under us when one of my friend’s kids asked me where Zack was…and my stomach dropped and my heart stopped.
He was nowhere to be seen and we had no clue where to find him. So, several of us adults took off to search the various floors of Macy’s. Brian went directly back to the 8th floor auditorium and, thanks be to God, Zack was up there waiting for us. He had got in line in the gift shop to make a purchase and it took forever. Once the purchase was finally done, we were all gone.
He was super worried and pretty upset, but thankfully, he is in middle school and he did exactly the right thing. He found some Macy’s employees, told them he was lost and stayed right there to wait for us. Even though it was only about 10 minutes that we were separated, we all learned several things from the scary situation and we are so thankful that everything turned out well.
Today I’m sharing an easy recipe for fudge. This recipe has only three ingredients: white chocolate chips, peppermint frosting and peppermint Oreos!
First, melt a bag of white chocolate chips in the microwave. Add a container of peppermint frosting.
If peppermint frosting isn’t available in your area, just add a couple of teaspoons of peppermint extract to a container of vanilla frosting.
Pour in 1/2 cup of crushed Candy Cane Oreos Minis or Peppermint Oreos.
Mix the three ingredients together. The mixture turned pink from the red Oreo filling.
Spread the fudge in a foil lined, greased 9×9 inch pan.
Top with roughly chopped Candy Cane Oreo Minis or Peppermint Oreos and gently press them into the fudge.
Place the fudge in the fridge to cool and set.
Lift the fudge from the pan using the foil. Then, gently peel the foil off and cut the fudge into squares.
This three ingredient peppermint Oreo fudge is smooth and creamy with a delicious Oreo crunch!
