    Seasoned Sour Cream

    This Seasoned Sour Cream recipe is made with only a few ingredients and is the perfect dip for nuggets, fries, and chips!

    Everyone needs a cool, creamy dip recipe that they can whip up in a couple of minutes! You can enjoy it at a weeknight dinner or backyard barbecue.

    I made this simple, seasoned sour cream dip to enjoy with our spicy chicken nuggets, and now I want to use it with everything! It’s delicious with French fries, chips, cut veggies, and chicken pitas.

    Seasoned Sour Cream Ingredients

    Seasoned sour cream ingredients.
    • Sour Cream – we use full-fat sour cream
    • Lime Juice – or use lemon juice
    • Garlic Powder – can also use minced garlic
    • Onion Powder – or use finely minced onion
    • Dried Parsley – or use fresh chopped parsley
    • Paprika – can also add cayenne for some heat
    • Salt – more or less to taste

    How To Make Seasoned Sour Cream

    Creamy mixture in a bowl.
    • Put all of the ingredients in a medium-sized bowl.
    • Stir well until combined.
    • Cover the bowl and put it in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to combine.
    • Stir again before serving.

    Storage

    • Make Ahead: This seasoned sour cream should be made ahead of time for the best flavor!
    • Refrigerator: Cover the bowl or transfer the dip to an airtight container and store it in the fridge
    • Freezer: We do not recommend freezing sour cream dip.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Can I add mayonnaise?

    We make this seasoned sour cream without mayonnaise, but you can add it if you want to.

    What other spices/seasonings can I add?

    You can add chives, dill, black pepper, chipotle or taco seasoning.

    Can I add more ingredients?

    Yes, you can stir in shredded cheese, bacon bits, diced peppers, or chopped cilantro.

    • 1 cup sour cream
    • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice or lemon juice
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
    • ½ teaspoon paprika
    • ½ teaspoon salt

    • Put all of the ingredients in a medium-sized bowl.
