Tonia’s Notes
This brown sugar grilled pineapple is such a treat! It’s hard to share with the rest of the family. I love how easy it is to make and how well it goes with so many meals.
You can prepare the pineapple wedges while you grill your burgers, chicken, or pizza. Then, turn the heat down and grill the pineapple.

How To Make Grilled Pineapple

Cut Pineapple Wedges
Cut the top (called the crown) and bottom off the pineapple. Then, cut the pineapple into 10 wedges or whatever shape you want. I left the rind on, but you can cut it off if you prefer.

Prepare Coating
To make a sweet and spicy coating, combine brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and cayenne pepper on a large plate. Depending on the size of your pineapple, the shape you cut it into, and whether you cut off the rind, you may need to mix up more of this coating.

Coat Pineapple
Coat the pieces of pineapple with the brown sugar mixture.

Cook On The Grill
Cook the pineapple over low heat on greased grill grates for 8-10 minutes, flipping the pieces occasionally, until the pineapple softens and the coating caramelizes.

Ways To Serve Grilled Pineapple
- Serve it with teriyaki chicken and a side of vegetable stir fry.
- Dice the grilled pineapple and sprinkle it on pulled pork pizza or Hawaiian pizza.
- Arrange the wedges on a platter, with the crown at the top for added flair.
- Cut off the rind before coating the pineapple with the brown sugar mixture. After grilling cut each wedge into cubes, and serve in bowls topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Recipe Tips
- Make Ahead: Cut the pineapple into wedges and store them in a container in the fridge. Prepare the brown sugar mixture and store it in a container until you are ready to grill.
- Leftovers: Store leftover grilled pineapple in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days.
- Reheat: You can reheat the leftovers in the microwave for 10-20 seconds.
