This easy cottage cheese flatbread is made with only four ingredients! Top it with garlic butter and sea salt for a side, or add pizza sauce, pepperoni, and cheese for a meal.

This high-protein flatbread recipe uses cottage cheese and is soft and chewy! Unlike traditional flatbread recipes that use yeast, this version is made with flour, baking powder, and salt. It’s ready in under 30 minutes!

Tonia’s Notes
We often buy flatbread naan to make Greek chicken wraps, eat as a side with butter chicken, or make individual pizzas in the air fryer. It’s surprisingly easy to make at home! We already have a popular two ingredient dough naan flatbread recipe, but lately I’ve been making cottage cheese flatbread and knew I had to share it.
I love that the cottage cheese adds extra protein to the flatbread while keeping the flatbread soft! Several readers have also mentioned they aren’t fans of the slight tang Greek yogurt adds, and this recipe has a much milder flavor.

How To Make Cottage Cheese Flatbread
You’ll only need four simple ingredients and about 30 minutes to make homemade cottage cheese flatbread. Blend the cottage cheese first for the smoothest dough, then follow these easy steps.

Cottage Cheese
Start by blending the cottage cheese until smooth, then let it rest for 10 minutes. I like using a mini food processor, but you can also use a blender. Check out my post on blended cottage cheese for all the details.

Make Dough
Combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl, then add the blended cottage cheese. Stir until a rough dough forms.

Shape Dough
Turn the dough out on a floured surface and form it into a ball. Cover and let it rest for 10 minutes. Cut the ball of dough into six pieces.

Form Flatbread
Roll each piece out into a circle about 8 inches wide. Thinner pieces of dough will make thinner flatbread, and thicker pieces will make thicker flatbread.

Cook In Skillet
Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. If your stovetop burner runs high like mine does, use medium-low heat. I like using a cast-iron skillet for this recipe, but I’ve tested it with a regular skillet, and it works too.
Lightly brush the skillet with olive oil before adding the dough to prevent it from sticking. Cook until browned, then flip to cook on the other side. This only took about 90 seconds on my stovetop.

Recipe Tips
- Make Ahead: You can prepare the dough, wrap it in plastic wrap, and store it in the fridge overnight. Let it warm up on the counter for 20-30 minutes before rolling it out.
- Leftovers: Store leftover flatbread in an airtight storage bag for 2-3 days. Freeze cooked flatbreads with parchment paper between each piece. Reheat in a skillet, microwave, or air fryer.
Ways To Use
- Brush with garlic butter and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
- Use it to make chicken, turkey, or veggie wraps.
- Serve with butter chicken, curry, soup, or chili.
- Make personal pizzas.
- Use it to make breakfast burritos.
- Cut into wedges and serve with hummus or spinach artichoke dip.
