    Tonia’s Notes

I love fresh fruit in my salsa and make my pineapple salsa recipe often. But peaches are in season right now, so I decided to use them to make some peach salsa.

I brought it to ladies’ night along with some tortilla chips, and everyone loved it as much as I did! So, I promptly made another bowl of it for my family for taco night. And I’m happy to report that it is perfect on chicken tacos!

    How To Make Peach Salsa

Fresh ingredients in a glass bowl.

Dice the fruit and veggies and put them in a bowl. Top it with freshly squeezed lime juice, salt, and pepper.

Stir everything together, cover the bowl, and put it in the fridge so that the flavors can combine.

What To Eat With Peach Salsa

You can serve fresh peach salsa as an appetizer, topping, or side dish. For parties, serve it with other dips like queso blanco and guacamole with tortilla chips. It also is fantastic on tacos, grilled chicken, fish, burritos, and nachos. Here are a few recipe suggestions:

    • Tater Tot Taco Pizza
    • Taco Casserole
    • Walking Tacos
    • Loaded Nachos

    Storage Tips

The flavors in this peach salsa recipe really benefit from chilling in the fridge before serving, so it’s a great recipe to make ahead of time!

    • Refrigerator: Store it in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
    • Freezer: This recipe does not hold up well in the freezer.
    • Canning: I do not have experience with canning so I suggest checking out the USDA’s canning guide for tips and instructions.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Which tomatoes should I use?

I typically use Roma tomatoes because they are firm and have thicker walls. They also have fewer seeds and moisture, so you don't end up with runny salsa.

What kind of onion should I use?

I chose red onions for their pretty purple color and spicy, peppery flavor. You can also use white onions which have a crunchy texture and sharp flavor.

Do I need to peel the peaches before dicing them?

No, you do not need to peel them and the colorful skins make the salsa even prettier!
