strawberry cheesecake shake in a cup with a straw
What says summer more that strawberries and shakes?  Although it is not quite summer yet, last Saturday ended up being really warm.  I dropped my son off at an outdoor birthday party and my daughter had a friend over.  I decided to try out strawberry cheesecake shakes on the girls.
strawberry cheesecake shake ingredients
To make the shakes I gathered strawberry syrup, fresh strawberries, strawberry swirl frozen yogurt, cheesecake flavored pudding, Strawberry Banana Silk Fruit&Protein, whipped cream and sugar.

whisk in bowl
First I whisked the Strawberry Banana Silk Fruit&Protein, strawberry syrup and cheesecake pudding together.
mix in blender
I put that mixture, frozen yogurt, strawberries and sugar into the blender and mixed it up.
two strawberry shakes in glasses

I prepared the glasses by putting vanilla almond bark and sprinkles around the rims.  I poured the strawberry cheesecake shakes into the glasses, topped with whipped cream and drizzled with strawberry syrup.  And right after snapping the pictures, my son and 5 additional boys showed up at our house, the birthday party was over!  So, I divided the strawberry shakes between 8 small cups, top each with whipped cream and delivered them to the kids in the yard.  They slurped them down and LOVED them!  I had what was leftover in the blender and although I couldn’t really taste the cheesecake part…it was delicious! The kids were wishing they could have another cup but I didn’t have enough ingredients to make more.

silk fruit and protein

Silk Fruit&Protein is lactose and dairy free.  One cup has 5 grams of protein and 100% of the daily recommended Vitamin C.  It is also a great source of calcium and Vitamin D.

I think my children would go completely crazy over this….I will keep this in mind, strawberry season for us should be here sometime in June.
